Cascade is an aroma hop of medium strength and high distinction. She has a distinctive, dark green elongated cone and contains low levels of alpha acid. Our Cascades have proven their mettle in many fine Australian beers.
Cascade is widely used but is probably best known for its contribution in American style Pale Ale.
Cascade was first developed in a U.S.D.A breeding program based in Oregon before being released in 1972. Cascade has Fuggle, Serebrianka (a hop of Russian origin), and native American hops in its ancestry.
